Pizel Family Recipes

This site is a deducation to our Mom, LaReatha Lucille Pizel Stasser, and the Pizel family. She was the best cook in the world. She was always trying new recipes and always remembered each grandchild's favorite food or treat to make it for them when they came to visit. The best thing I loved about Mom was that she always sent a bag of goodies for the road with our children. She was a true pioneer farm woman in Kansas. Her family was the Frank and Rae Sybil Hobbs Pizel homestead North of Kanorado, Kansas on a farm. She and her husband, Merle, farmed North of Ruleton, Kansas. Dad was a custom harvester in the summer and she would cook the best homemade meals for the harvestors when they were harvesting in Goodland. She worked from sunup to sundown every day. She took great joy in feeding good meals to her family. She believed that good food was the best medicine. She was the best example of loving and serving one another in a family and a community. She is greatly loved and missed.
